D-18 ALL-STARS - PRLL RESULTS AND REMAINING GAMES

PRLL has three all-star teams still alive in the post-season tournaments.  Their schedules are as follows:

Baseball Age 10 team:  They are 3-0 in D-18 Tournament Pool Play, and will play for the championship against New City (also 3-0) on Monday, July 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the Stony Point field.  (PRLL has defeated South Orangetown, 8-0, West Nyack-Nanuet, 17-10 and Nyack-Valley Cottage, 5-2). UPDATE 7/5: In a game that was close all the way, New City pulled off a game-winning rally in the final inning and won the D-18 banner, 4-2.  The PRLL boys played a great game and can hold their head high as they start their summer vacation. (NOTE: Some game photos have been uploaded to the PRLL Photo Site - See the PHOTO tab above).

Baseball Age 9 team:   The 9's are playing in the Rockland County 9 year-old Tournament, and they completed a 4-0 run in pool play by defeating Stony Point to reach the semi finals, where they blanked the host team, West Nyack, 10-0 on July 9. They defeated New City, 11-0, in the title game on Saturday, July 10 on Cesca Field in West Nyack.  (Previously, PRLL defeated West Nyack/Nanuet, 10-0; New City, 17-2; and Suffern, 13-5; and Stony Point, 2-1).

Baseball LL Age 12 team:    The 12's won their opener against New City, 12-4, but dropped their next game, 6-4, to Nyack-Valley Cottage.  In the double-elimination tournament, they will play a lower-bracket game against South Orangetown on Monday, July 5, at 5:00 p.m. at Zukor Field in New City.  UPDATE: PRLL was defeated by SO, 5-0, and was eliminated.  SO will play tomorrow, July 6 at 6:00 p.m. at the Stony Point field, against either New City or Stony Point (the winner will advance to a semi-final game the next night).  The loser on Tuesday is eliminated from tournament play.

Softball Age 10 team:  The 10's had a very competitive team in the District 18 tournament, winning their first game, 17-10, over Nanuet-West Nyack, before dropping a hard-fought 11-9 game to New City and then being outscored, 13-8, by Stony Point.

Softball Age 11 team:   The 11's ran into a very strong New City team which took the D-18 title and moved on to the State tournament.

Softball LL Age 12 team:  The 12's dropped decisions to South Orangetown and Haverstraw on consecutive nights, June 24 and 25. The South Orangetown team went on to capture the District 18 title.
