PRLL GIRLS 11's ARE NEW YORK STATE CHAMPIONS

 7/28/18:  (Glen Falls, N.Y.):   The Pearl River Little League 11 year-old girls' softball All-Stars defeated a team from East Hampton LL, 6-1, to capture the New York State Championship.  Congratulations to the team and its coaches, Bill Collins, Matt Luckie and Tim McGee.   The team completed an undefeated run through the New York State tournament, after having captured the District 18 and NY Section 3 titles.        SEE PHOTOS BELOW  

  The team routed Nanuet/West Nyack in their first D18 game on 7/9, then defeated New City at home on 7/10.  On 7/13, a victory over Nanuet, 14-6, made the girls District 18 Champions.  They then played for the Section 3 title and came out on top. That tournament was hosted by Nanuet LL and was played on Heroes Field at Nanuet.  In the New York State Tournament, they won their first game , beating the team from Staten Island 11-1 in 4 innings. They won again on 7/26 against East Hampton LL and again on 7/27 against Lagrange LL. They defeated East Hampton for the championship on Saturday 7/28.

Step 1 - DISTRICT 18 (ROCKLAND COUNTY) CHAMPS

Billy Collins and the girls 11’s routed Nanuet/West Nyack in their first D18 game on 7/9, then defeated New City at home on 7/10.  On 7/13, a victory over Nanuet, 14-6, made the girls District 18 Champions.  They will now be playing for the Section 3 title and will play on Tuesday 7/17 against Harrison LL. The game is being hosted by Nanuet LL and will be played on Heroes Field at Nanuet.  



Step 2 - New York Section 3 Champs

UPDATE: THE GIRLS 11's HAVE WON THE SECTION 3 CHAMPIONSHIP (DEFEATING THE HARRISON L.L. TEAM) AND WILL PLAY IN THE NY STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT.
